I’m thinking of Maui today and all the heroes who courageously and tirelessly work to help their communities recover.

I was devastated to hear of the loss of lives and the destruction in Lahaina. Washingtonians know all too well the devastation caused by quick-moving wildfires.

Our growing climate crisis is taking a toll, upending our families and destroying our communities. We must work together to overcome these challenges.

Today I'm asking you to contribute to the people of Maui as they seek relief from the flames and rebuild. Can we count on you to pitch into a community effort?
