Dear Friend,
Our pollinators are facing an “insect apocalypse,” and we’re running out of time
to save them. Tomorrow is National Honey Bee Day -- and there has never been a
better time to take action. That’s why I’m reaching out to you early to share
this special opportunity with you.
Here’s the situation: Big Ag and its toxic, bee-killing pesticides are key
actors that are driving more and more of our bees to the brink of extinction.
This National Honey Bee Day, we are fighting back. Take action and rush a
donation to help protect bees and our planet -- before it's too late. To help
boost our efforts, a generous group of donors is matching gifts in honor of National Honey Bee
Day, up to $107,000 -- but only until midnight tomorrow.
Because you are a critical supporter, we have given you early access to our
special National Honey Bee Day match:

dying at alarming rates. Hundreds of North American bee species are at risk of disappearing forever. Even honeybees are taking big hits. In the past, annual colony losses in the
U.S. would come in at around 15%. Now, they are reaching 30-50%.
Toxic pesticides -- like Bayer-Monsanto's neonicotinoids -- are among the
biggest contributors to the massive decline of bees and other pollinators. We
need to get these bee-killing pesticides out of our food system -- but we can’t
fight the pesticide industry and save the bees without your help!
National Honey Bee Day is about renewing our commitment to putting our bees,
other pollinators, and the planet over profit -- will you join us now and set
the tone for this important opportunity?
This National Honey Bee Day, bees and our planet need your help. Please, donate
$27 or more before midnight and have your donation matched -- dollar for dollar.

[[link removed]]Scientists are sounding the alarm, warning us that the toxic way we grow our
food isn't working. But you can still help save bees and other precious
pollinators, and it’s more important than ever to do so before it’s too late!
Because here’s the thing, Friend: Bees help keep our
planet healthy. They're ecosystem engineers who are pivotal in supporting
thriving habitats for birds, insects, and mammals. And bees and other
pollinators are vital for a whopping 75% of food crops, like fruits, nuts, and
vegetables!
But it’s getting harder for bees to avoid toxic pesticides as their usage
continues to increase year over year. These pesticides are used everywhere from
backyard gardens to industrial agriculture. Bayer-Monsanto’s neonicotinoid pesticides are long-lived and systemic -- they
can't be washed off our food. These pesticides can kill bees outright or weaken them and make them more
susceptible to disease.
And it doesn't stop there. Neonicotinoids have been linked to serious health
harms, including birth defects of the brain and heart. With Bayer-Monsanto's neonics linked to hormone disruption and other health
problems, this could have disastrous and long-term effects.
The corporate players driving this -- Big Ag companies like Bayer-Monsanto --
keep producing bee-killing pesticides for corporate profit, doubling down on
their destructive path. The only way to stop them is together.
Don't let Bayer-Monsanto keep harming bees. This National Honey Bee Day, make a
$27 donation and help protect bees from toxic pesticides and ensure a future for
our planet.

[[link removed]]We have a plan to save bees. Friends of the Earth runs strategic campaigns to
eliminate toxic pesticides. We're pushing garden retailers like Home Depot and
Lowe's and supermarkets like Kroger to get harmful pesticides off their shelves
and out of their products.
But at the same time, Big Ag corporations are increasing their influence over
our political system and blocking fundamental environmental protections. Their
goal is short-term profit, even if that means devastation for pollinators and
our planet.
If you make your membership gift now, Friend, the
resources you help raise will help us fight back against Big Ag corporations and
their political cronies -- countering their spin in the media and organizing
around the country to make sure that we're a louder voice for our pollinators
and planet. Can you support this work today?
This National Honey Bee Day, help protect important pollinators and our planet
before it's too late. Donate $27 or more to Friends of the Earth TODAY and your
gift will be matched!
