------------------------------------------------------------

Dear John,

Save the date for California Policy Center's Parental Rights Virtual Open House on Tuesday, August 22nd from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm!

We're thrilled to be hosting this LIVE event moderated by Lance Christensen, CPC's Vice President of Education Policy and Government Affairs, along with Mari Barke, director of CPC's California Local Elected Officials.

Lance and Mari will be interviewing some of the most dynamic and influential Californians spearheading the Golden State's parental rights movement, including parent group leaders, school board members and state legislators who have been at the forefront of defending parents’ rights. Confirmed guests include:
* Assemblyman Bill Essayli (R-Riverside), author of AB 1314, the bill that became the basis for the Parental Notification Policy being adopted by a growing list of California school boards
* Senator Shannon Grove (R-Bakersfield), author of SB 14, the bill that would add sex trafficking of minors to the list of serious felonies under California's Three Strikes law
* Sonja Shaw, President of the Chino Valley Unified School Board, the first school district to adopt the new Parental Notification Policy
* Jonathan Zachreson, Roseville City School Board Trustee and co-founder of Protect Kids California, the parent organization now launching three statewide initiatives to protect children
* Erin Friday, attorney and co-leader of the parent group Our Duty, who is leading the charge against the most egregious bills threatening parental rights and child safety.

But that's not all ... we're excited to be kicking off our Parental Rights Pledge campaign on Tuesday to ask school board members, legislators and other elected officials statewide to stand up for parents and sign the pledge!

Join us this Tuesday for specific interviews or the entire 3-hour program. We'll send out the official schedule of interviews with the full roster of guests before the event oryou can find it on our website ([link removed]) here ([link removed]) .
