Today, we are celebrating the 102nd anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment, which guarantees women the constitutional right to vote in the US, and we are doubly excited to celebrate this momentous date because it’s also Chair Jessica Velasquez’s birthday! Akin to the hard work and determination of the suffragettes that lead to the 19th amendment’s ratification, Chair Velasquez and her unyielding commitment to the Democratic Party of New Mexico are leading the way to a better future for all New Mexicans.
