Back in The Lowcountry

Hello and Happy Friday!

This week we got back in the Lowcountry after spending time overseas visiting several military and intel sites with the Armed Services Committee. We got to meet with the brave men and women that defend our country each and every day, even some from South Carolina.

Wednesday we celebrated National Airborne Forces Day, which pays tribute to the soldiers, past and present, who have served in the airborne. We thank these heroes for their service to our nation.

Wednesday, got to join Jesse Watters Primetime to discuss inflation and Washington’s addiction to out-of-control spending. Both sides of the aisle have created conditions for rapid inflation through the appropriations process and it’s time government becomes more thoughtful with its spending. Watch more here.

On September 9th, our office will be holding a Service Academy Day at the USS Yorktown from 11:00am to 1:30pm. This is a great chance to meet with representatives from all 5 military service academies and learn about the process for receiving a nomination to a service academy for interested high school students.  RSVP Here.

We’re excited to announce on Monday, August 21 we will be hosting a Town Hall with Concerned Veterans for America to discuss issues facing our veterans. The event begins at 6 pm at the USS Yorktown. For more details and to register, click here.

Our office has recently started a new series called “Sunday Sunsets.” If you live in the district and want to show off your beautiful sunset picture, drop it here.

DISTRICT DOG OF THE WEEK

🐶 Our #DistrictDog this week is Darby. Darby is a 6-year-old Irish Jack Russell who lost the use of her hind legs 3 years ago. She is healthy and happy. She knows how to get treats by grabbing Mom’s slippers and running. She is very loved! 💕 #LowcountryFirst
