Dear AFGE Activist,

Today we are proud to celebrate our 91st birthday!

From the very beginning, our union’s mission has been about more than just empowering our members in the workplace. AFGE is also dedicated to strengthening our democracy and delivering a government that works for the American people.  

From finding cures to diseases to protecting our air, food supplies, and local communities, government employees make a big difference in our lives every single day.

AFGE is the voice of the people who keep our governments running. We are proud to have played a role in making sure government workers have the resources they need to do their jobs and are treated with dignity and respect.
