My efforts to protect voting rights extend past our district.

That’s why I’m proud to be a co-sponsor of the Freedom to Vote Act – legislation that will protect our democracy by reinforcing our fundamental right to vote, support local election workers, and end partisan gerrymandering.

January 6th showed us how vulnerable our democracy is to extremism. As we head into another pivotal election year, fortifying our right to vote is critical.

And as Republican extremists seek to disenfranchise voters through partisan gerrymandering, voter ID laws, and diminishing access to the ballot box, we must be relentless in our efforts to strengthen our democratic process.
