City Seeks Students to Serve on Natural Resources Commission
Student commissioners serve as a communication link between commission members and the youth of our community, by sharing ideas, observations, concerns, feedback and questions.

Mattress and Box Spring Recycling
Mattresses can be dangerous to the environment when they are thrown in landfills. They create flammable air pockets and also can absorb hazardous chemicals that are harmful to the earth. Also, mattresses are not biodegradable and take up a major amount of landfill area.
Mendota Heights residents are invited to recycle old/unwanted mattresses on Saturday, Aug. 19.

New Recreation Program: Adult Painting
Join the City's Parks and Recreation team for a morning of painting and refreshments in the park. This program is free and open to anyone ages 18 and older; however, registration is required.

The summer road construction season is well underway, with the City, County and MN Department of Transportation all working to improve roadways in Mendota Heights.

What will you Name Your Drain?
At a recent meeting, the Natural Resources Commission voted to adopt the storm drain near City Hall and name it Clean Water Heights, as a part of the Adopt-a-Drain Program.
