DEAR FRIENDS AND COMPAÑERES,

I’d like to update you today on the powerful, inspiring, and
transnational work of GGJ's BERTA CÁCERES INTERNATIONAL FEMINIST
ORGANIZING SCHOOL (IFOS) [8]. We just concluded our first in-person IFOS
with the compañeres of the CONTINENTAL ALLIANCE OF AMERICAS FOR DEMOCRACY
AND AGAINST NEOLIBERALISM [9] (La Jornada Continental) at the Ecosol
Training Center of the Red Comal Solidarity Economy Network in
Siguatepeque, Honduras.

We arrived from all regions of the Americas: 103 participants in 13
delegations from 22 countries and territories, a panoply of colorful
threads weaving in harmony to form a beautiful fabric. Our participants
were intergenerational, mulitracial, multilingual, multigender,
multisectoral, and representing different political tendencies, from
campesina struggles to trade unionists to feminists fighting for
reproductive justice.

For six days, we broke bread (by eating a lot of tortillas) and discussed
our diverse grassroots feminist movements. We debated, learned and
unlearned, danced, and laughed and cried from the joy of being together and
being able to share our past and present struggles.

We now return to our various organizations, communities, and territories
deeply transformed with the political lessons of the school — most
importantly, with renewed energy and commitment to bring what we learned to
our movements.

QUERIDAS AMIGAS Y COMPAÑERES,

Me gustaría actualizarles hoy sobre el trabajo poderoso, inspirador y
transnacional de la ESCUELA INTERNACIONAL FEMINISTA ORGANIZADORA BERTA
CÁCERES [8] (IFOS por sus siglas en inglés) de GGJ. Acabamos de concluir
nuestra primera escuela en persona con les compañeres de LA JORNADA
CONTINENTAL POR LA DEMOCRACIA Y CONTRA EL NEOLIBERALISMO [9] en el Centro
de Capacitación Ecosol de la Red Comal de Economía Solidaria en
Siguatepeque, Honduras.

Llegamos desde todas las regiones de las Américas: 103 participantes en 13
delegaciones de 22 países y territorios, un despliegue de hilos coloridos
entretejidos en armonía para componer un bello tejido. La composición de
nuestres participantes fue intergeneracional, multiracial, multilingüe,
multigénero, multisectorial y representando diferentes tendencias
políticas, desde luchas campesinas a sindicalistas a feministas luchando
por la justicia reproductiva.

Durante seis días, compartimos el pan (y muchas tortillas) y conversamos
sobre nuestros diversos movimientos feministas de la base. Debatimos,
aprendimos y desaprendimos, bailamos, y reímos y lloramos por la alegría
de estar juntes y poder compartir nuestras luchas pasadas y presentes.

territorios profundamente transformades con las lecciones políticas de la
