Friend,
Power companies brag about transforming the power industry toward a clean energy future in their mission statements and climate pledges.
But behind the scenes, their lobbying group—Edison Electric Institute (EEI)—is actually trying to block climate action.
Last week, EEI organized an attempt to squash EPA's common-sense carbon pollution standards for power plants. If they had their way, existing coal and gas power plants would continue polluting for years to come—time that we simply do not have.
But the fight's not over, and not every utility company agrees with EEI’s efforts. We’ve got EEI's attention, and we're going to keep the pressure on—and let utilities know they can’t use our power bill money to fund EEI’s dangerous lobbying.
Send a message now to let EEI know that we're watching, and we won't let them stand in the way of the clean energy future we deserve.

During the hottest summer on record, EEI is attacking one of our best chances at cutting pollution driving the climate crisis—prioritizing oil and gas executives' profits over its ratepaying customers.
Let's hold them accountable.
Onward,
Craig Segall
