Since the local election in May we’ve been carrying out regular ward walks across the Clifton West ward with our community protection officer and other council officers checking on work that is being carried out (like the new benches installed at Ruddington Lane Park!) and to keep an eye out for any issues that may be causing problems.
Ward walks are designed for us to keep a regular check on your behalf as to what is happening across the ward and for us to be able to have an extra opportunity to chat with residents. Look out for a note from us letting you know that we will be in your area!

A BIG shout out to all our Clean Champions for Clifton West Ward! These are volunteers who regularly litter pick the area and do an amazing job. Thank you to you all!

Over 70 resurfacing schemes have been completed so far across the city.
In 2021, the council successfully bid as part of a competitive process for money from the Government’s Levelling Up fund to improve streets and local town centres, and make walking and cycling easier and safer.
Nottingham City Council has approved £11million of improvements to make our neighbourhoods greener, safer, better places to get around. Streets that have been improved so far include Collingwood Close, Fabis Drive and Hockerwood.
The Streets for People programme is well under way with carriageway improvements already delivered on Fabis Drive in Clifton Grove and Holly Avenue in Wilford, together with a parking permit scheme covering Brooksby Lane and Sturgeon Avenue in Clifton and extension to parking restrictions on Westerfield Way in Silverdale.
Over the next few weeks and months improvements will be carried out to the speed plateaus in Nobel Road, carriageway improvements on Village Road in Clifton Village and footpath improvements in Silverdale and Wilford will be completed.
We are also setting money aside for tree work and bin replacements. You can find out more by visiting the streets for people website.
