I recently had the chance to join SAG-AFTRA and Writers Guild union
members in front of Paramount Pictures HQ. I again heard from workers
about their simple demands: fair pay to account for the rise in living
expenses, assurances against being replaced by AI, and a restructuring of
how writers and performers benefit from streaming revenue.

The same executives who say they can’t afford to pay workers more are
paying themselves tons. In 2022 alone, the two CEOs of Netflix were paid
over $50 million each. The Warner Bros. CEO was paid $39 million. The CEOs
of Comcast and Paramount were both paid $32 million, and Disney’s CEO was
paid $24 million. It’s unacceptable that at the same time, many performers
aren’t earning livable wages.

U.S. Senate. Can you split a donation to my U.S. Senate campaign and the
PCCC here? Help us ensure that California sends the strongest voice for
workers to the U.S. Senate in 2024.

As a consumer protection attorney, I’ve seen how healthy unions benefit
consumers. They don't just fight for better wages. Unions often push for
things that keep all of us safer, like better safety guidelines on
airplanes or in hospitals. We need strong unions to stand against
corporate greed in every industry.

John, I’m grateful to have you in this fight! When folks side
with workers, we show executives across industries that consumers won’t
put up with corporate greed.
