Major Deadline: TUESDAY? ? ? ? ? Friend ? we're up against a critical deadline ? I'm hoping we hear from you today. [link removed]

A few weeks ago, the Trump administration rolled out plans to gut the National Environmental Policy Act, directing federal agencies to ignore climate change effects and limit public input when approving highways, pipelines, and other infrastructure proposals.

It is set to be one of the most damaging and far-reaching environmental decisions of this presidency.

Before it takes effect, there's a short window for public input. We need to make every moment count. On Tuesday, LCV is staging a major protest and is speaking at the final public hearing on Trump's plan.

We have to go BIG on this ? but after weeks of must-win environmental fights, resources are tight. We need your help. We're hoping to raise $25,000 before the hearing ? and a donor has agreed to triple match every contribution.

If everyone reading this right now pitched in ? even just $5 ? we'd blow through that goal in minutes. Please, triple your impact ? but do it today ? [link removed]

I hope you pitch in before the hearing ? we literally can't do this work without support from our members.

We really cannot afford to go dark right now. NEPA has been one of the most important tools the environmental movement has to block heavily polluting projects and ensure that local communities' voices are heard. It's THE main law requiring transparent consideration of environmental impact for major projects.

That includes projects in areas on the frontlines of natural disasters, oil and gas drilling sites, and permitting for destructive coal power plants. Without NEPA, federal infrastructure projects will become a major source of carbon pollution that makes the climate crisis even worse.

The communities most likely to be near environmentally hazardous federal projects are communities of color. These communities are already the most likely to face dangerous exposure to air and water pollution.

Bottom line, we need to be raising hell right now. But that's not going to happen without you.

Friend, we CAN stop Trump's proposal ? but we need all hands on deck. Your contribution will go THREE TIMES as far to helping us organize ? even $5 will make a big difference! [link removed]

Thank you, thank you, thank you, friend ? for everything that you do for the environment. We'll be in touch again soon.
