Sometimes all the bad news can be really overwhelming. The constant flow of ever-worsening news about the coronavirus can become rather stressful. And when you spend all day getting news alerts to your phone like I do, WOW, that's a lot of pending doom.

So today, I'm taking a step back from writing and research. I'm switching off the laptop as soon as I finish sending you this email and I'm spending the day outside. I'm going to spend the day remembering that preparedness is the ultimate act of optimism.

I don't know if you've also been feeling a bit overwhelmed but if you are, I hope the contents of this note helps a little. There has been so much bad news in such a short period of time, it has had an effect on a lot of folks if the contents of my inbox are anything to go by.

If you can at all, step away from stress today. Give yourself some time to decompress. The outbreak can go on without us for a day. I'll be back tomorrow with news and updates.

I'm wishing you a peaceful Sunday.

Love,
Daisy
