John, something really important happened in Ohio last week.

The Ohio GOP tried to make it harder to pass ballot measures — popular votes from the people of Ohio that become law. They did it because they wanted to stop the people of Ohio from voting to protect the right to choose.

And the people of Ohio won.

It’s a huge victory. And Arizona is next.

The people of Arizona want reproductive freedom. I do, too. So I’ll make you three promises today:

1. I’ll fight like hell in the Senate to defend the right to choose.

2. I’ll do everything I can to stop legislation that bans abortion.

3. And if we have a chance to pass legislation that protects abortion, I’ll vote for it — even if it means ending the filibuster.

But first, I have to win.
