Backpack distributions are in full swing.
The back-to-school season is in full swing, and Team AOC is giving 1,000 backpacks to kids in our community who don’t have one as they start the school year.
We aren’t a traditional campaign, and we know that’s part of why you’re here.
During the pandemic, we ran a food distribution program that lasted for over a year. We organized a Census outreach program in 2020 that helped New Yorkers keep a congressional seat. We ran a Homework Helpers program that tutored thousands of students in our district who were struggling with the impacts of remote learning. And starting last weekend, we’re giving out thousands of backpacks to support families going back to school.
