FORT WAYNE, IN - Today, Eric Doden visits his 50th Main Street in New Albany, IN, on his summer-long "Main Street Tour" across the state.

Doden seems to be everywhere, all the time. But he seems to give extra attention to places overlooked by most politicians: our small towns and Main Streets.

"We can't be a state where only 3 or 4 counties are thriving. We have to be a state where all 92 counties are thriving, and we can become that with the right team and bold vision," says Doden.

During the tour, Doden launched an original series, "Doden's Downtowns, Diners, and Dives" ([link removed]) highlighting the places, faces, and food that make our regions worth championing and revitalizing.

To date, Doden remains the only candidate in the race to release a detailed policy plan, or any plan, specifically on how to restore community pride and vitality to Main Streets ([link removed]) and regions ([link removed]) across the state.

"We have over 2 million Hoosiers that live in small towns with 30,000 people or less, and even more across the regions. They deserve bold leadership. They know their communities and priorities have been overlooked for decades by politicians who care more about their resumes than solving people's problems. Faith tells us to love thy neighbor, and economic development is family development."

The IBJ recently profiled ([link removed]) Doden's decades long career using innovation and perseverance to bring hope and prosperity to overlooked communities and projects. One anecdote chronicles how he took a General Electric executive to a baseball game to close the deal on restoring a run down WWII era munitions factory now known as Electric Works. Today, because of Doden's relational bold leadership, Electric Works sits at the center of Fort Wayne, IN as a multi-use space for small businesses, food vendors, community gatherings, and even a STEAM high school.

It's a long road to the Governor's office, but one thing is clear: in Doden, Main Street might finally have its man.
