I wanted to reach out and update you on passport cases. Due to a high volume of cases, there is a major backlog in processing passports.
I encourage travelers to wait to book international travel until a valid passport is physically in hand. Constituents should apply for a new or renewal passport 9 months prior to travel.
If your pending application was filed with routine service, and you have upcoming travel, it may be in your best interest to upgrade to expedited service. Please dial (877) 487-2778 to upgrade to expedited service and shipping.
