PLANNED PARENTHOOD

"Birth control means freedom and safety."
————
"Access to birth control is health care. Having access to the over-the-counter pill gives women the power to make their own health care choices."
————
"So cool, so needed, it's about time!!"

We asked Planned Parenthood supporters to share their reactions to the FDA approving over-the-counter birth control for the first time. The responses above are just a small sample.

Every step we can take to expand access to reproductive health care matters — especially when so many people continue to face barriers to care. There are people who may not be able to see a doctor to get a prescription — because of cost, a lack of local options, or any other reason. This is why over-the-counter access is a big, big deal.

Expanding access is just one part of making sure people can get the care they need. It's also important for you to know your options so you can make the best choice for you.

We've put together a brief quiz to test your birth control knowledge. Click here to get started.

Almost everyone who can get pregnant will use birth control at some point in their lives. The more information we have, the better off we are. Ready to take the quiz?

Here's the first question:
True or false: The birth control shot works less well as you get closer to your next shot date.
