DWC Accepting Public Comments on Texas Administrative Code Rule Review

DWC will review all sections in the following chapters in Title 28, Texas Administrative Code:

• Chapter 102 (Practices and Procedures--General Provisions);
• Chapter 104 (General Provisions--Rule-Making);
• Chapter 109 (Workers? Compensation Coverage for State Employees);
• Chapter 110 (Required Notices of Coverage);
• Chapter 112 (Scope of Liability for Compensation);
• Chapter 114 (Self-Insurance); and
• Chapter 116 (General Provisions--Subsequent Injury Fund).

DWC Seeks Input on Proposed Forms Changes

DWC is accepting public comments on proposed changes to DWC Form-052, Supplemental Income Benefits (SIBs) Application?and DWC Form-055, Request to Adjust Benefits for a Seasonal Employee.

DWC Form-052 is used by injured employees to apply for SIBs.

DWC Form-055 is used by insurance carriers to notify a seasonal employee and DWC of its request to adjust the benefit amount or adjust the amount of the average weekly wage.

Medical Quality Review Process Approved

On June 20, 2023, DWC requested comments from workers? compensation system participants on the proposed Medical Quality Review (MQR) process, and it has now been approved. More on the?TDI website.
