Friend,
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas continues to be shielded by Chief
Justice John Roberts, who claims that Congress has no power over the top
court of the land.(1)
It’s just not true. The Ethics in Government Act requires that ALL federal
employees -- and Thomas is one! -- must disclose any gift given to them by
anyone other than a relative. Here’s just a few things Thomas has received
from his billionaire friends:
* 38 destination vacations, including 26 private jet flights and 8
helicopter flights
* VIP skybox tickets to sporting events
* Private school tuition for a relative
* Funding for a $267,230 RV
And Clarence Thomas didn’t disclose any of it.

unchallenged. Will you sign our call for a formal investigation into
Clarence Thomas?

There is no way we can accept the explanation that Thomas was given these
gifts in exchange for nothing but his friendship. The billionaires who
have doled out hundreds of thousands of dollars in gifts have benefited
greatly from numerous decisions Thomas has rendered, including Citizens
United.
That’s why several members of the House of Representatives, including
California’s Rep. Ted Lieu, have formally asked the Department of Justice
to investigate how Thomas has broken the law.(2)
We want to raise that call and ensure that Thomas’ actions don’t go
unchallenged. Will you sign on?
[ [link removed] ]Yes, I’ll ask the Department of Justice to investigate Clarence Thomas.
Thank you for joining the fight.
