John,

One year ago, history was made with the Inflation Reduction Act’s largest-ever federal investment in the fight against climate change.

This was a major win for environmental activists everywhere. Finally, we’ve seen substantial progress at the federal level for transitioning to a clean energy economy and, in short, treating the climate crisis as the emergency it is. But we need to do more. Washington Conservation Action is leading campaigns that are reducing pollution and holding big corporations accountable.

But to go further we must elect environmental champions across Washington to build on the IRA’s impacts and ensure our state is on a path to a sustainable, prosperous future.

We’ve already seen the benefits of the IRA, with funding supporting clean energy and conservation projects here in Washington.

Importantly, IRA funding has also put equity and environmental justice front and center. This is exactly the kind of progress Washington Conservation Action strives to uphold and continue within our state.

While we celebrate this step forward in the fight to protect people and nature as one, we know our work is far from over. The climate crisis is worsening by the day, as we’ve seen with regular heatwaves, massive wildfires, and unprecedented drought here in Washington.

It’s going to take sustained commitment from supporters like you to help WCA continue forging ahead with climate action.

Pitch in right away to help us keep fighting for a healthier, cleaner, and more sustainable future for everyone: [[link removed]]

Thanks for everything.
