John,
Time is of the essence, and we are eager to share our plans for the next six months at Black Lives Matter PAC.
With an unwavering commitment to bringing substantial changes to our communities, we are focusing some of our efforts on prioritizing three critical issues that demand immediate action.
Right now, we're prepping to back candidates whose efforts include advocating for Affirmative Action policies. Our aim is crystal clear: to create more opportunities for Black students and shatter the unjust barriers they confront. This is not new territory for us, and we're ready to showcase the force of collective action, proving to the Supreme Court what real people-power looks like.
That's not all: This is a pivotal time for ALL of us. Reproductive rights are fundamental human rights, and limited access to reproductive health care and information disproportionately affects Black communities. If candidates are anti-abortion care and rights, they can count our support OUT.
Lastly, change does not come through censorship. We refuse to allow legislators to attempt to silence the uncomfortable truths that history lessons in education may reveal. Our focus is on challenging and dismantling book bans that address crucial racial issues head-on. We are unapologetic in our pursuit to expose the injustices perpetrated by systemic racism and to challenge the status quo – and we're only helping candidates who agree.
White supremacy has tried us many times -- and it'll continue trying us. But we're here to fight back...with your help.
We can continue to show up and go even wider if we raise enough money for the next 6 months ahead of the election year. John, can you help us by chipping in toward our first fundraiser of August?
In love and solidarity,
Black Lives Matter PAC
