John,
Quickly, I want to thank you for contributing to some of the major milestones we’ve seen recently.
For years, we’ve said that our leaders at the state and local levels are our first line of defense in a world without federal protections for foundational rights.
So when I joined the #VOTEPROCHOICE team in April 2020, one of the first things I worked on was the endorsement and support of then-candidate Fani T. Willis for Fulton County District Attorney in Georgia.
Our team reached out to 36,000 key voters in her primary campaign and then sent over 75,000 texts for her August 2020 run-off election, where she was decisively victorious.
Just this week, DA Willis filed charges against more than a dozen individuals accused of trying to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election results.
Leaders like DA Willis — who stand for democracy and foundational rights — are at the center of why we do what we do.
And every day, we get applications from candidates all over the country, running to be the next Fani T. Willis in their community.
John, if you're able, support our work to elevate candidates who champion body autonomy and who preserve our democracy.
The last few days have been a mix of emotions, for sure. Between the incredible win in Ohio, and the disappointing ruling attempting to restrict abortion medication (which is not yet in effect!), there’s no doubt that we’re building momentum AND that we’re still up against a massive fight ahead.
That’s why we’re so grateful for your support. And for the champions who stand up for our communities every day.
Thank you for being with us in this fight,
Sara Tabatabaie
