Get Ready for Reassessment
In the next few weeks, the Beaufort County Assessor's Office ([link removed]) will be sending Beaufort County property owners a Reassessment Notice. A Countywide Reassessment resets the base value of a property to the current market value as of December 31st of the prior year.
We cannot stress enough how important this notice is as it contains your new value and an important deadline. Your Reassessment Notice will contain your new, reassessed value. Should you disagree with it and wish to appeal your value ([link removed]) , you will only have 90 days from the date of the notice to do so.
