​ It’s outrageous. The fifth circuit federal appeals court just upheld many of the restrictions a Texas judge made on mifepristone, the leading abortion pill.

The ruling won’t go into effect, however, until the conservative Supreme Court weighs in on its first abortion case since they overturned Roe v. Wade last summer.

Here’s what’s clear: Reproductive freedoms are under attack yet again and it’s up to us to continue pushing back.

The Supreme Court has shown that it’s no ally to our reproductive freedom, which is why it’s so dangerous that they will be deciding mifepristone’s fate. The appeals court decision would eliminate telemedicine and mailing the pill— which would leave many women in states with abortion bans without essential care.

It’s not just the federal level. Right here in Kansas, the KS GOP are continuing to try to challenge abortion rights, despite Kansas voters making it clear in a vote one year ago that they value reproductive freedom and want it protected.

It’s more important than ever that we have battle-tested leaders who are committed to standing up for our reproductive freedoms in office. Are you with me?
