Social Security is one of the most critical parts of the social safety net in the United States.
For 88 years (as of this Monday!), it's made sure that seniors can retire with dignity and peace of mind. It's lifted millions out of poverty. Nearly one of every five Arizona residents receives Social Security.
So why, when we should be protecting this program for generations to come, are Republicans trying to sabotage it?

One of the Republicans leading the push to disassemble and defund Social Security is Kirsten's opponent, Juan Ciscomani.
Almost half of Arizona's seniors rely on Social Security for the majority of their income. Gutting the program would be devastating for them. But once again, Juan Ciscomani is choosing his political agenda over the needs of his constituents.
Unlike Ciscomani, Kirsten actually has a plan that will protect and expand Social Security.
