John,
Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of Joe Biden signing the Inflation Reduction Act. In that year, inflation has been cut in half―but Big Pharma is PISSED.
One of the key provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act allowed Medicare to negotiate lower prescription drug prices for seniors, in the same way that every other insurer can. A cabal of Big Pharma corporations teamed up with the United States Chamber of Commerce to sue the federal government to make sure they can keep your drug prices HIGH.
So Social Security Works and our allies gathered over 150,000 signatures and delivered them to the Chamber of Commerce, Pharmaceutical corporations, and Representative Lauren Boebert (R-CO), who backs the suits. I personally hand delivered those signatures in DC.
Here’s what it looked like in DC:

All across the country, we’re sending the message: Big Pharma’s greed does not come before seniors’ lives!
