This week, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis handed down Donald
Trump’s fourth indictment for his alleged actions in attempting to
overturn the 2020 election.

Immediately after the charges were announced, we saw Fox News and the
right-wing media ecosphere push a steady stream of misinformation designed
to undermine the case against the former president.

That’s where we come in. We know that the best way to combat this
dangerous misinformation is with trustworthy, fact-based, and accessible
reporting that directly counters the false narratives and outright lies
that Fox and other right-wing media outlets are peddling.

The stakes are high,
John. In 2020, President Biden
won the state by only 11,780 votes while Senators Jon Ossoff and Rev.
Raphael Warnock won their races by just 1.2 and 2 percent respectively.

Our network of newsrooms in nine key battleground states are committed to
neutralizing misinformation in the spaces where it typically thrives by
delivering quality, fact-based journalism to the communities that need it
the most.

But opening a newsroom isn’t easy. It takes time and resources to hire
journalists and build a network of readers. And that’s why we’re asking
