As the nation reflects and commemorates the 1963 March on Washington,
Race Forward is offering a webinar for a focused on exploring the effort
to advance racial equity via federal programs. Discussants will explain
how sustained strategies inside and outside public institutions are
creating productive tension and accountability. Panelists will focus on
what is possible when federal government leaders commit to identifying
and removing systemic barriers, and embracing the charge of advancing
racial equity.

Panelists will include:

Glenn Harris, Race Forward President and Publisher of Colorlines

Jenny Yang, Deputy Assistant to the President for Racial Justice and
Equity, Domestic Policy Council

Carlton Eley, Race Forward Senior Director for Federal Strategies

Matthew Tejada, Deputy Assistant Administrator for Environmental
Justice, U.S Environmental Protection Agency

Janis Bowdler, Counselor to the Secretary for Racial Equity, U.S
Department of the Treasury

In 1963, citizen leaders responded to the call to action. Sixty years
later, the federal government is taking action as well, and it is
demonstrating how a racial equity agenda executed through intentional
planning and consistent implementation can strengthen our democracy
while yielding benefits for all.

In Solidarity,

Carlton Eley

Senior Director for Federal Strategies, Race Forward
