NPP CEO Kadida Kenner is excited to announce the addition of Andrew Payne to the New Pennsylvania Project organizing team!
Andrew Payne is the new Regional Organizing Director for the Bucks/Montgomery region.
Andrew’s passion for advocating for those less fortunate comes from growing up in the rural south. This led Andrew to get into community organizing as a way to give back to communities that have given so much to him. He brings 8 years of community organizing ranging from voter registration work, campaign fundraising, and get out the vote efforts for various campaigns and organizations ranging from small city council races to the Biden campaign.

Pictures from the Ground
We had an amazing time in Pittsburgh recently in Market Square at the 50 Years of Hip-Hop Celebration event. It was great to connect with the Steel City, enjoy some great music, and register some future voters! Also a shoutout to Mayor Ed Gainey and former state rep. Jake Wheatley (pictured middle) for their support!

(Associated Press)
Children who lived closer to natural gas wells in heavily drilled western Pennsylvania were more likely to develop a relatively rare form of cancer, and nearby residents of all ages had an increased chance of severe asthma reactions, researchers said in reports released Tuesday evening. The taxpayer-funded research by the University of Pittsburgh adds to a body of evidence suggesting links between the gas industry and certain health problems.
