The ANCHOR program created by Governor Phil Murphy and Democrats in the Legislature delivered significant property tax relief to over 1.7 million New Jerseyans last year, including homeowners and renters.

Now this critical tax relief will soon be back again, and taxpayers who applied for the benefit last year will automatically receive a letter confirming their eligibility for this year’s program, without having to take any additional action! This also means that they will not need to re-file an application in order to receive those benefits if their information hasn’t changed in the past year.
