More divisive Woke nonsense from the City of Mount Dora, FL. The City Council has now instituted a new virtue-signaling sticker and program for business owners — at the taxpayer’s expense.

Now, if you don’t place a large rainbow sticker on the front door of your business stating that you are “safe” and don’t harass (which is already illegal) then you are a “bigot” according to the City.

As Chairman of the Lake County Republican Party, I will be calling for new state legislation prohibiting / preempting this type of program at the city level and demanding Gov. DeSantis investigate and potentially remove these divisive city councilors from office.

Further, as an attorney with an office in Mount Dora, I’m considering filing a lawsuit against the city for unlawful and discriminatory government speech (i.e. detrimentally/negligently implying that businesses without city-sponsored stickers are not “safe” & therefore harming them.)
