Friend,

Most Americans support the Green New Deal, but the pundits on CNN and
MSNBC all say it'll never happen.

Even larger majorities support Medicare for All, but corporate media say
that's impossible, too.

Reducing income inequality. Ending the student debt crisis. Fixing the
climate emergency.

All of these ideas are popular with voters, but every day the corporate
media tells us that they're too expensive, we can't afford them, so just
forget it and move on.

We call B.S.

This is the wealthiest country in the history of the world. The problem
isn't that we can't afford to tackle the big problems. It's that the 1%
don't want to pay their fair share—and the same corporate interests
lobbying against these common sense proposals in Washington, D.C., are
calling the shots at the major news outlets that define the range of
what's "possible" in our political debates.

That's why we started Common Dreams in 1997—to create a news outlet that
would represent the interests of the 99%.

We reject the corporate media's narrative. We believe we CAN make a
better world. And every day, we're here reporting the news to help make
it possible.

Are you with us? Then help make a better world possible by making
donation to reach our Winter Campaign goal of $70,000.
