Hi John

We had an amazing week of pro-life action when we welcomed to Northern Ireland, Fr. Stephen Imbarrato from Life Ministries USA.

During our vigil outside Coleraine Hospital where unborn babies are killed, the American priest witnessed at first hand the regular pro-abortion harassment endured by Precious Life.

The brief video below gives only a glimpse of the vile attacks against Precious Life committed by pro-abortionists on a weekly basis. Most of the clips recorded at the Vigil are unsuitable for broadcast due to crude and vulgar language used by the pro-abortionists - especially directed at Fr. Imbarrato. But these clips show how the pro-abortionists try to drown out the sound of our prayers by playing loud heavy metal music; and show their attempts to intimidate us by surrounding us and getting into our faces, and trying to block our pro-life placards with their pro-abortion signs, and rainbow flags and umbrellas.

Pro-abortion harassment at Precious Life Vigil
Undeterred by the attack from the pro-abortionists, Fr. Imbarrato stood firm with our members and prayed that baby killing would end in that hospital.

Fr. Imbarrato also travelled with Precious Life to Belfast, where he said exorcism prayers outside another abortion center in the city.

That same week, he and Bernadette Smyth spoke at an event hosted by Donegal Pro-Life.

Fr. Imbarrato called for a Catholic pro-life movement to assert itself in Ireland.

Lauding the Preamble of the Irish Constitution which he read aloud – “In the Name of the Most Holy Trinity, from Whom is all authority and to Whom, as our final end, all actions both of men and States must be referred…” - Fr. Imbarrato said Irish people would have to be called to repentance by a Catholic pro-life movement in order to overcome the loss of Ireland’s constitutional ban on abortion in 2018.

He told the audience ‘’Stand on the corners and crossroads of your towns with signs calling people to repent for the sin of abortion – souls are being lost and we need to save as many souls as we can. You lost the abortion referendum because people lost the faith, so there is only one way to restore a culture of life and that is by bringing people back to their faith.”

Promoting the life-saving work of crisis pregnancy agency Stanton Healthcare, Bernadette Smyth told the audience that she was intent on saving more lives across the border by setting up a Stanton center in Donegal.

Over these final two weeks of August, Precious Life will bring the pro-life message to various towns across Northern Ireland on our Annual Pro-Life Summer Roadshow. If you would like to join us, give us a call for locations and dates - 02890278484
