John, this is incredible: After Nicole's email about our gun magazine limits petition, 12,747 people joined our call for high-capacity magazines limits – but it looks like we're still missing your name.
This critical piece of gun safety legislation might have saved our children and loved ones who were murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary, and it might have saved precious lives in Parkland, Orlando, Aurora and Tucson, too. We can't go back and save them, but we can save countless other lives if we act immediately.
Congress is putting more children's lives at risk every day it refuses to vote on this bill. That's why we're counting on you to help us ramp up the pressure on our leaders by reaching 50,000 signatures demanding Congress limit the size of gun ammunition magazines to 10 rounds.
Please click here right now to sign our petition demanding Congress make high-capacity magazines illegal to help protect more children from gun violence. Every time a shooter must pause to reload, there is an opportunity for lives to be saved.

Thank you for making your voice heard – it means so much to have you standing with us in this critical work.

Subject: Sign the petition to make high-capacity gun magazines illegal
John,
Last Friday marked two years since a gunman walked into a high school in Parkland, Florida, with eight 30- and 40-round ammunition magazines. In under six minutes, he fired nearly 150 times – murdering 14 students and three educators.
The person who murdered my beautiful butterfly Dylan at Sandy Hook Elementary seven years ago brought ten 30-round magazines with him. In approximately four minutes, he shot 154 bullets, killing 20 children and six educators.
But in the time it took the shooter to reload at Sandy Hook, 11 children were able to escape. If magazines were limited to one-third the number of rounds available that day, Dylan might still be alive today. And more people might have been saved from the horrific mass shooting in Parkland, too.
That's why I need your help right now. One year ago, a bill was introduced in Congress to limit the size of ammunition magazines to 10 rounds – but Congress has refused to pass it. As we honor those murdered in Parkland two years ago, we need to collect 50,000 petition signatures demanding that Congress finally act before more lives are senselessly lost. Will you please sign our petition now?

Dylan continues to be a light in my life, and I will spend the rest of my days building a legacy for him that ensures his light continues to shine. By helping me in this work to protect children like him from gun violence, you're making that legacy possible.
Thank you so much – it truly means the world to me.
With love,
Nicole Hockley (Dylan's mom)
