Dear Friend,
The deadline for our $600,000 Matching Gift Challenge is quickly approaching. You're such an important member of our Alzheimer's Association community — a friend who inspires us to keep up the fight to defeat Alzheimer's. While we're committed to offering care and support 365 days a year for all those affected by Alzheimer's disease, we're also driving dementia science forward. We can't do it without your help as a new supporter, and our records show your gift is still pending.
This is one of our BIGGEST challenges of the year and there's still time for you to DOUBLE the impact with your first gift. But you must act quickly.
Two very special supporters, Dick and Marianne Kipper, have pledged to match every donation we receive by September 30, up to $600,000, and dedicate their gift to vital Alzheimer's research. Your contribution can be matched to help provide care and support to those affected by this disease and accelerate research into the search for a cure. However, we must raise the same amount by the deadline to unlock the matching funds. Will you help, friend?
The fight against Alzheimer's has never been more urgent and these matching funds are too important to leave on the table. Every day, more people join the over 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer's or another dementia. This thief of a disease takes more lives than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined — and costs the nation nearly $345 billion a year.
With your support, we are working every day to change the course of Alzheimer's, accelerate critical research and help more Americans get the care and support they need. And we are seeing progress.
Today, there are Food and Drug Administration-approved treatments that reduce cognitive and functional decline for those living with early Alzheimer's. These are the first wave of effective treatments for Alzheimer's, with more to come. We're fighting to ensure access for everyone who will benefit — and your support is crucial.
Give today and your gift can go TWICE as far. |

Friend, it's critical I hear from you before we reach our deadline.
As the world's largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's and dementia research, the Alzheimer's Association relies on compassionate people like you to advance critical science that moves us closer to a cure. When you show your generosity, you fuel our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
Most importantly, you help make progress happen. I want to thank you for that.
We see the difference you're making every day. But with the number of Americans living with Alzheimer's expected to reach nearly 13 million by 2050, affecting our health and future and the lives of people we care about, it's important we do all we can now. Here's an opportunity for you to double your impact. Please don't miss it. Make your first gift today, while it can be matched to go TWICE as far.
Sincerely,
Donna McCullough
Chief Mission and Field Operations Officer
P.S. I know how busy life can get, friend, but I hope I'll hear from you before this challenge ends. Millions of people living with Alzheimer's are counting on the help that $600,000 in matching funds can provide. Please make your first gift now.
