Volunteer Ireland Awards 2023

Nominations are now open for the 2023 Volunteer Ireland Awards, the award ceremony that celebrates the amazing volunteers helping out in our communities. And we need your help. Do you know a volunteer who deserves an award? Then please be sure to nominate them!

Volunteering opportunities

Whether helping out in a charity shop, visting a lonely older person, coaching a sports team, or volunteering from home, you can find your perfect volunteering role at I-VOL, the national database of volunteering opportunities. Sign up today, then search and apply for the roles that suit you. You can refine your search by your location, availability, age, etc.

Spread Love, Choose Kindness

Young volunteers in Co. Cavan have come together to create a wonderful community mural. The 'Helping Hands Returning Kindness to Ireland' mural is the work of local volunteers from diverse backgrounds with help from Cavan Volunteer Centre, Teach Solais, Bounce Back Youth Service, Cavan County Council, and Ballyjamesduff Community Council.

This inspiring symbol of kindness will be enjoyed by the people of Cavan for years to come.

Volunteer Centres

There are 29 Volunteer Centres around Ireland working to support volunteering in every county.
