[1]Lucas Kunce for U.S. Senate

Hey John,
it’s Lucas Kunce again and I promise I’ll keep this quick.

On Wednesday, we were tracking about 2,500 donations behind where we need
to be for the quarter — and now, we need to raise just 134 more donations
before midnight to get back on track.

I’ve always been able to count on supporters like you in times like these.
But it’s getting late and not everyone is checking their email, so I need
anyone reading this to help us close the gap. [ [link removed] ]Will you rush a donation
of $10, $25, or whatever you think is best to
my grassroots campaign before midnight?

If you've stored your info with ActBlue Express, we'll process your
contribution instantly:

John — I am just so grateful for it.

Now, let’s defeat Josh Hawley and flip this Senate seat, together.

Lucas

Subject: An update on my campaign

Hi John,
it’s Lucas Kunce, and I’ve got an update for you.

On our usual check-in call this morning, my campaign manager flagged that
this coming Wednesday marks the halfway point in our third fundraising
quarter of 2023 — and that we’re tracking about 2,500 donations behind
where we need to be.

Let me be crystal clear: this isn’t some arbitrary fundraising goal.
Staying on track this quarter means we’ll be ready to launch into the next
phase of our campaign — opening offices, getting boots on the ground
across the state, and regularly reaching voters with our message of
fundamentally changing who has power in our country.

Over the next few days, my team and I are going to do everything we can to
hit this goal and get our campaign back on track for the quarter —
including asking grassroots supporters like you to chip in
$10, $25, or whatever you think is best
before Wednesday’s deadline. [ [link removed] ]So
John,
can I count on your support during this critical moment of our campaign?

From the moment we got into this race back in January, Josh Hawley and the
GOP insiders propping up his campaign have been determined to tear me
down. And with the help of grassroots supporters like you — chipping in
and sharing our message when you can — we’ve made it clear: they’re right
to be scared.

Just a few days after we launched this campaign, National Journal said our
race “represents one of the Democratic Party’s better offensive targets”
in 2024.

And since then, we’ve made that a reality by breaking Missouri fundraising
records and building a truly people-powered coalition to take back this
Senate seat with support from the Missouri AFL-CIO, the Missouri Fire
Fighters, former statewide leaders like Joe Maxwell and Susan Montee, and
local elected officials and community leaders all across the state.

That’s why GOP insiders and corporate mega-donors just put more than $1
MILLION into a brand new Super PAC to attack me — and it’s why national
Republicans are dumping money into Josh Hawley’s campaign.

They know that Hawley is the most vulnerable GOP senator up for
re-election next year — with even worse approval ratings than Ted Cruz in
Texas and Rick Scott in Florida. And they can tell we’re putting together
a powerful grassroots movement that’s capable of winning this race,
flipping this U.S. Senate seat, and taking back power for real working
people.

So now, we need to be prepared to launch into the next phase of our
campaign AND head off attacks from these GOP insiders every day between
now and Election Day — and that’s why I need your help
today, John.

[ [link removed] ]Can I count on you to add a donation of $10,
$25, or whatever you think is best today so we can stay on
track this quarter and defeat Josh Hawley next year? I’m not taking a cent
from corporate PACs or shady mega-donors in this race, so you know I mean
it when I say anything you can afford to give makes a big impact.

When we defeat Josh Hawley and flip this seat, I promise you this: We’re
going to shake things up in the U.S. Senate.

Together, we’ll end the filibuster and secure voting rights, outlaw war
profiteering, legalize weed, abolish corporate PACs, and stand up to
Big-Brother-style attacks on abortion access from control-obsessed
politicians like Josh Hawley.

We’ll stop handing out money for Wall Street and forever wars, and start
rebuilding communities in Missouri and all across the country. And we’ll
create the next generation of energy jobs right here at home, getting us
off fossil fuels forever.

That’s what we’re fighting for in this movement. And I’m glad you’re a
part of it.

Now let’s get moving,

Lucas Kunce
