Next week, at 6:30pm on Wednesday, August 23rd at Lubber Run Community Center, we will be holding special elections to fill the current vacancies on the AYD Executive Board. We are searching candidates for Vice President and Community Service Director. If you are interested in applying for either of these positions, the deadline is Friday, August 18th at 11:59pm . At the same meeting, we will also present our fall campaign plan to our members. AYD will be canvassing, phone banking, and doing everything we can to make sure that we flip the House of Delegates, defend the Senate, so that we can send Youngkin crying come November.
Moving on, this weekend is the annual Arlington County Fair. AYD will be tabling alongside ArlDems as well as some of our local candidates. We highly recommend that you come and enjoy all the deep-fried delicacies and carnival rides. And while you're at it, stop by our table as well!

Arlington County Fair - Arlington Democrats & AYD Booth [[link removed]]
Get ready for the upcoming Arlington County Fair, scheduled from August 18th to 20th at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center. This highly anticipated event is one of the largest free gatherings on the East Coast, drawing thousands of visitors from Arlington, Northern Virginia, and the DC Metro region. Attendees can look forward to a range of attractions, including competitive exhibits, midway rides and games, entertainment, vendors, and more.
Like in past years, the Arlington Democrats will be hosting a booth along with the Arlington Young Dems at the fair. To make this event a resounding success, we are seeking volunteers for various tasks. We need help with setting up on the 18th, staffing the booth on the 18th, 19th, and 20th, and breaking down and cleaning up on the 20th. Your participation is essential in ensuring the success of this event, and any amount of time you can spare would be immensely appreciated.
