As Attorney General, Bob is working to keep our communities safe — and his record shows it. Take a look:
- Bob and his team kept nearly 100 of the most violent sex predators out of our communities;
- He wrote and passed bipartisan legislation to make our courthouses safer;
- He increased protections for survivors of human trafficking;
- He is ending Washington's shameful backlog of untested sexual assault kits because Bob believes victims deserve justice;
- He successfully proposed legislation banning the sale of assault weapons.
That's not all.
Recently, Bob announced a significant milestone in another public safety initiative. Bob’s team collected more than 2,000 new DNA profiles of violent offenders who failed to provide their DNA as part of their sentence.
This effort led to 70 matches to existing DNA evidence. This is important because these matches identify repeat offenders, link cases, solve cold cases, and exonerate wrongfully convicted individuals.
Dave Reichert and the GOP groups backing him will spend millions attacking Bob's record on many issues, including public safety. They will use fear tactics and conveniently ignore the facts.
But the truth is indisputable. Bob is a champion for public safety, and he'll continue this vital work as Governor.
