One year ago, the Inflation Reduction Act was signed into law. I am proud to have supported this historic piece of legislation that put people over politics and is continuing to lower costs, create good-paying jobs, and build safer communities.

Lowering prescription drug costs by empowering Medicare to negotiate the price of prescription drugs and creating a $35 cap on insulin for those on Medicare at the beginning of this year.
Establishing progressive energy policies that combat climate change, create jobs, and expand America’s energy independence.
Supporting American families across the country by lowering energy bills and inflation and improving service and support at the IRS.
At a pivotal time when Americans needed help and the trajectory of our country was up for grabs, Democrats delivered with the Inflation Reduction Act. As a nation, we’re already seeing the impacts of the Inflation Reduction Act, and we will continue to reap the benefits of this legislation for decades to come.
