Here are some recent updates.
* Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) requested ([link removed]) that trial begin on March 4, 2024 in former President Donald Trump and his allies' election subversion case in Georgia. Follow the indictment here ([link removed]) .
* Trump's former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows (R) asked ([link removed]) for his Fulton County charges to be moved to federal court. Meadows was indicted on charges of violating the Georgia RICO Act and solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer.
* In Virginia, the Chesapeake City Council voted ([link removed]) to approve just four early voting satellite locations, cutting the total number of locations by two and eliminating a community center location in a heavily-Black area.
* A case arguing ([link removed]) that Tennessee's congressional and state Senate maps are racially gerrymandered has been assigned to a federal three-judge panel made up of two Trump-appointees and one Obama-appointee.
* The U.S. Supreme Court will decide ([link removed]) whether or not to grant an emergency request from civil rights groups to effectively ensure fair districts are in place for the Miami, Florida city commission elections being held this November.
