Lindsey’s headed back to Harrisburg for the session in September, and Republicans’ school voucher program will be at the top of our General Assembly’s agenda.

That’s why we wanted to see where you stand: Do you support Senate Republicans’ plan to divert $103.7 million taxpayer dollars from public schools to private and religious schools?

This school voucher program would only make the current conditions worse in our public schools. Under the voucher program, our schools would:

❌ Divert $103.7 million taxpayer dollars from public schools to private and religious schools — with no accountability for student outcomes.
❌ Violate our state’s constitutional promise to a thorough and efficient public education system.
❌ Increase discrimination against students on the basis of race, income, health conditions, academic ability, and gender identity.

Pennsylvania public schools are already under and inequitably funded, and right now, our students don’t have the resources they need to succeed. Sending millions of dollars to unaccountable private and religious schools will only exacerbate the issues hurting kids, teachers, and public schools across the Commonwealth.
