# [#]One year ago today, President Biden signed into law the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), the result of months of hard work and negotiations.

With this historic law, Democrats delivered a huge win for working families, the economy, and our environment.

I was gratified to have authored the drug pricing framework that was included in IRA provisions, which lowered out-of-pocket drug costs, allows Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices, and caps insulin costs for Medicare recipients.

And, the IRA’s largest-ever federal investment in climate action has already impacted our region, providing funding for clean energy and environmental cleanup projects.

I’m committed to building on this progress and continuing to combat climate change, expand affordable health care, and lower costs for San Diego families – but with the GOP dead-set on expanding its House majority next year, that future progress is at risk.

Democrats have proven that when we’re in the majority, we get things done. That’s why we must organize early and take back the House in 2024. Can you pitch in right away to help Democrats win?
