John —
Last week, Ohio held what Republicans were counting on to be a sleepy, low-turnout special election.
It was anything but.
Voters turned out by the millions to loudly reject a Republican proposal to raise the threshold needed to enshrine abortion rights in the Ohio state constitution later this year.
But this isn’t just happening in Ohio, John.
Ever since the overturning of Roe v. Wade last year, a growing coalition of voters has responded in force — by turning out in red, blue, and purple states alike to defeat anti-abortion Republicans and stand up for abortion rights.1
They thought overturning Roe would be the end of the story for abortion rights. Together, we’re showing that this story is far from over.
Let’s keep on showing anti-abortion Republicans who the real majority is in this country. Chip in $10 now to help mobilize voters and win crucial victories for abortion rights this fall in Ohio, Virginia, and across the country.

Thanks to the defeat of Issue 1 in Ohio last week, voters have a real chance to make Ohio the fourth state in U.S. history to enshrine abortion rights in their state constitution this November.
In Virginia, elections this November will decide whether Republicans can gain a trifecta in state government and pass a statewide abortion ban.
And across the country, Republican candidates are gearing up to try and win the House, Senate, and White House in 2024 — and falling over themselves to promise their extremist base that they will pass a national abortion ban if they do.
John, the costs since the Supreme Court overturned Roe have been severe. At least 25 states have banned or restricted access to abortion over the past year.2 Doctors believe that maternal health and mortality has significantly worsened as a result.3
Over the past year, anti-abortion extremists got what they had worked decades for with the overturning of Roe and the bans passed by Republican state legislatures in its wake. They never cared about winning popular support for massively unpopular bans — because they thought they had the power to impose them on us. That’s why we need to keep on reminding them who really holds the power.
Your contribution of $10 or any amount will help the Working Families Party win victories in states like Ohio and Virginia this year where abortion rights are on the ballot, and recruit and elect the next class of WFP champions in 2024 who will stand up for our rights years and decades into the future. Can you chip in to help us win and show the power of this movement?
