Some of the most competitive races in recent elections have taken place right here in Wisconsin — including both the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, where Donald Trump and Joe Biden each won by less than a single point.

Republicans want a clean sweep of Wisconsin next year — defeating me and winning our state’s 10 electoral votes for the GOP presidential nominee.

There’s no better indication that the Republican Party is prioritizing Wisconsin than them hosting their first presidential debate right here in Milwaukee next week.

With all eyes on Wisconsin at the top of the ticket, there’s no doubt Senate Republicans will be targeting me and my seat to regain control of the Senate majority. Republicans only need to flip two seats to take back control of the Senate, so they’ll use any opportunity they can to swoop in and pick up a seat.

The GOP is right that this Senate seat is one of the most vulnerable, but they’re wrong to underestimate the power of this grassroots team.
