It was a big week for Convention of States teams around the country!
In Wisconsin, the General Assembly voted overwhelmingly to pass the Convention of States Resolution -- 60-38!
Our amazing team in Wisconsin deserves all the credit. Their tireless efforts helped push the Convention of States Resolution across the finish line.
Now it's on to the Wisconsin State Senate! If the Senate passes the resolution, Wisconsin will become the 16th state to call for a Convention of States to limit the power of the federal government.
We recorded the entire debate on the floor, which you can watch here.
We also scored a win in South Carolina when a special ad-hoc subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee decided to advance our resolution to the full committee!
Again, all the credit goes to our volunteers and legislative champions who have faithfully advocated for the Convention of States movement in the South Carolina legislature.
Our volunteers packed the room with Convention of States pins, and many of them stood up to deliver powerful testimony.
Check out Mark Meckler's testimony here.
