Today, I announced $1,150,000 in Congressionally directed funding for the El Cenizo Street Improvements Project. The funds will be used to pave Morales Street and Hernandez Street in El Cenizo, which are vulnerable to flooding and hazardous to residents.

Good, quality roads have a far-reaching impact on South Texas communities. The El Cenizo Street Improvements Project will ensure safer streets for local commuters, greater economic development opportunities for businesses, and enhanced accessibility for first responders.

I secured this Congressionally directed funding to provide El Cenizo residents with the proper roadway infrastructure they need to travel safely and securely. Thank you to Webb County Precinct 1 Commissioner Jesse Gonzalez and El Cenizo Mayor Carina Hernandez for working with me to deliver these much-needed road improvements.
