Dear John,

Whilst we are still sharing our World Elephant Day celebrations and our Freedom Champion Sign-Up Month, I also wanted to let you know about other things we have going on here in the fight for animals' freedom and how you can help.

There are many hidden horrors of captivity and with your support, we are here to tell the truth of behind the bars and in the cages.

With your by our side, I know we can do this.

Today our campaigns manager Laura, and an amazing group of volunteers are out doing a leaflet drop in Nottinghamshire to oppose plans for the building of a new zoo.

Activists are hitting the streets in the Trowell/Broxtowe area, to tell residents the truth about the new zoo plans that will affect their local area.

This is the second time Freedom for Animals has been out raising awareness on the false claims the project developers are broadcasting in the run up to the council meeting.

These plans must not be allowed - there should be no new zoos in 2023! You can join this campaign by carrying out two actions:

What you can do for animals currently held in zoos…

There are four things you can do right now, to support our work against zoos and the forced captivity of animals.

1. Sign our actions. We have many different actions on our website, all calling for an end to the captivity of animals for human entertainment.
2. Share our actions. The more people that carry out these actions the louder our voices will be.
3. Join us as a Freedom Champion. Throughout August we are holding a Freedom Champion Sign-Up Month 2023, join us and a group of dedicated and compassionate animal activists.
4. Join us on social media. Whether that be Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, follow us today and share our posts.

We have seen a great response for our Freedom Champion Sign-Up Month 2023 but we need to keep increasing our number of compassionate regular donors, so we can continue to expose the cruelty of captivity. So please, if you haven't already, join us today!
